Every day at The Big Banana Fun Park, we create memorable experiences for thousands of guests visiting one of Australia's most iconic tourist attractions. We're looking for enthusiastic, energetic and customer-focused Food Service Attendants to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone looking for weekend work during the school term, with the opportunity to work additional shifts throughout the busy school holiday periods. About the Role
As a Food Service Attendant, you'll work across various food outlets, preparing and serving delicious takeaway food and beverages while delivering exceptional customer service.
No two days are the same. One shift you may be serving hot dogs, churros and cold drinks to guests enjoying the park, while the next you could be preparing fresh grab-and-go items such as sandwiches, wraps and salads in our kitchen.
You'll play an important role in creating memorable experiences for our guests by delivering friendly, efficient service and helping maintain the high standards that make The Big Banana a favourite destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve takeaway food and beverages.
- Prepare fresh grab-and-go menu items, including sandwiches, wraps and salads.
- Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer transactions.
- Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard.
- Restock food, beverages and supplies throughout your shift.
- Assist with opening, closing and cleaning duties.
- Work collaboratively across various stations as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Is reliable, positive and has a strong work ethic.
- Works well both independently and as part of a team.
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness and presentation.
- Understands the importance of personal presentation and maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
- Has excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude.
- Is flexible and happy to work across different food outlets and duties.
We'd Love If You Have
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service or customer service (preferred).
- Experience preparing food in a café, takeaway outlet or commercial kitchen is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of food safety and safe food handling practices.
Availability
Successful applicants must be available to work weekends during the school term and have the flexibility to work throughout school holiday periods, including public holidays when required.
