What’s the role?
You’ll play a key role in building the data foundations that power better customer and business outcomes. As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll design, build and optimise scalable data pipelines and solutions that support enterprise wide transformation initiatives.
This is a full time, permanent hybrid role based in Gold Coast or Sydney, offering the flexibility to work from both home and office. You’ll work closely with cross functional teams to translate business needs into reliable data products, ensuring performance, stability and scalability across platforms.
You’ll also contribute to data architecture and modelling, ensure strong data governance practices, and support deployment and production readiness. Along the way, you’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with stakeholders and drive innovation across the data lifecycle, including the adoption of AI and automation.
What do I need?
• Strong hands on experience building and optimising data pipelines using Python and SQL, with exposure to tools such as Informatica and Unix scripting
• Experience working with modern data platforms and frameworks including Spark, Kafka and cloud technologies such as Azure Synapse, Data Lake or Snowflake
• Solid understanding of data architecture, modelling and governance, with the ability to design scalable and reliable solutions
• Proven ability to translate technical concepts into meaningful business insights and outcomes
• Experience contributing to large scale transformation initiatives, with a focus on innovation through AI and automation
