Details: The Health and Community Services Directorate (HCSD) is looking for an experienced and motivated Child and Family Cultural Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening connections between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, communities, and services. you will foster strong relationships between ACT Koori Preschools, families, and communities to enhance parent and caregiver engagement in children's early learning, development, and educational pathways.
As the Child and Family Cultural Officer you will act as a cultural liaison between Health and Community Services Directorate (HCSD) programs and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, supporting meaningful family participation in early childhood education and development.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities, along with a sound understanding of culturally safe practices, early childhood development, and community engagement. Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
