The Opportunity
Downer’s Energy & Utilities team is seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our site maintenance crew in Newcastle . You will support mechanical maintenance activities and small-scale upgrades across bulk materials and port operations, ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently.
About You
- Site Proficient: Hold a recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate with experience in heavy industry or similar environments
- Technically Proficient: Experience with preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repair of mechanical systems including conveyors, unloaders, and rotating equipment
- Team Oriented: Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a safety-first environment
- Site Qualifications: Full working rights in Australia, Driver’s Licence, Construction White Card (mandatory)
