About the Role
As a Manager, Operational Risk & Resilience, you will play a critical role in partnering with Enterprise Finance and Corporate Enablement functions to strengthen operational and resilience risk management across ANZ. You will lead risk assessments, support regulatory and policy change initiatives, and advise on the design and embed effective controls that protect our customers, people, processes and systems that is in line with the 3 lines of defence model. Working as a trusted first line risk partner, you'll provide insights that influence decision-making, uplift risk capability, and foster a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What will your day look like?
Leading operational and resilience change risk and risk profile assessments
Advising business teams on operational risk, resilience risk and model risk management practices.
Advising business stakeholders in their design of controls, strengthen and embed effective risk and control frameworks.
Partnering with business stakeholders in supporting the implementation of regulatory and policy changes through impact assessments and business engagement.
Analysing risk trends, emerging issues and control effectiveness to provide actionable risk insights.
Preparing materials and presenting insights for governance forums, senior leaders and assurance activities.
Lead issue remediation and control uplift initiatives with our stakeholders to address identified risks and control weaknesses.
Leveraging analytics, automation and emerging technologies to identify and monitor risk indicators.
Coaching and developing colleagues while contributing to a positive, high-performing and risk-aware culture.
What will you bring?
We're looking for someone with significant experience in operational risk, resilience risk, compliance, audit or risk management within financial services or a similarly regulated environment. You'll also bring:
Deep understanding of risk and control frameworks, control design, assurance and risk governance.
Ability to interpret regulatory obligations and translate requirements into practical business outcomes.
Proven experience conducting risk assessments and identifying opportunities to strengthen controls and processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify themes, trends and insights from complex data sets.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across business and risk teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality governance and executive materials.
Experience supporting regulatory change, controls, change risk, issue management, remediation or assurance activities.
Experience with data analytics, automation and emerging technologies such as AI will be highly regarded.
