ABOUT LASERBOND
Since its establishment in 1992 (initially as HVOF Australia Pty Ltd), LaserBond has pioneered the research, development and implementation of advanced surface engineering techniques to dramatically reduce the wear rates, maintenance and operating costs of production vital components of industrial customers.
THE POSITION
Due to an increase in both in-house and external technology solutions, LaserBond is seeking an Electrical Process Control Engineer to join its Engineering Team in automation projects at Smeaton Grange
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- PLC programming (advanced Rockwell experience required).
- Robot Control experience preferred but not essential if able to demonstrate CNC experience.
- Servo Integration Control (Allen Bradley, SEW etc.) experience required.
- SCADA, FactoryTalk View, Transaction Manager experience an asset.
- Able to read electrical drawings with CAD experience highly regarded.
- Understand electrical design and control/automation principles.
- Strong in PLC programming skills, Servo integration and complex automation control essential.
- Good understanding of Industrial Robotic sequence control.
The successful candidate will have:
- Either Trade or Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Automation.
- Working experience with machine automation or process automation.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Ability to work independently and professionally as part of a team and alone.
- Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills is mandatory.
- Good attitude with the preference of being hands on.
- Experience with installation and commissioning highly regarded.
