Metro Trains Melbourne is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our Signals Infrastructure team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of routine and reactive signalling maintenance. With a strong focus on people leadership and operational performance, you will build team capability, improve work practices and ensure resources are effectively managed to deliver critical maintenance outcomes.
About the Role

Lead, coach and develop a high-performing maintenance team.
- Drive safety, accountability and operational performance.
- Coordinate maintenance activities, resources, equipment and contractors.
- Identify and implement improvements to work practices and productivity.
- Lead continuous improvement and Lean practices across the team.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational requirements.
- Support emergency response and critical service restoration when required.
About You
You are an experienced operational leader who knows how to get the best from people while maintaining a strong focus on safety and delivery.
You will bring:

Willingness and ability to work Permanent Night Shift roster

Extensive experience leading and supervising teams.
- Experience in rail, maintenance or a similar safety-critical environment.
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and improve team performance.
- Strong problem-solving, planning and decision-making capability.
- Flexibility to respond to operational emergencies and participate in on-call requirements.
Rail infrastructure, frontline management or engineering qualifications will be highly regarded.
