About the team
Government Shared Services (GSS) is a new division in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and delivering their services.
We are developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to more than 100+ agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments.
What you will do
- Assist in creating positive customer experience through interaction and training with team members in processing reassignments and providing clients with accurate payroll services, support, and advice.
- Oversee workflow and allocate tasks, where applicable, while providing guidance, on-the-job training, quality control, checking, following policies and procedures and feedback.
- Processing of reassignment tickets and supporting colleagues on complex inquiries relating to employment conditions to ensure compliance and accurate processing of entitlements.
- Stay current with knowledge of relevant ERP and organisational structures.
- Identify risks and issues promptly to develop new ways of working to enhance payroll service delivery to ensure compliance with legislation and service level agreements (SLA’s)
About You
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in:
- Knowledge of processing, awards and entitlements to ensure consistent application and accurate calculations across the team.
- Balancing multiple requests and tasks while meeting competing deadlines in a high-volume, fluctuating environment.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and deliver suitable payroll outcomes
