About us
Furniture Options supplies commercial and institutional furniture to clients across the healthcare, hospitality, mining, education, government and corporate sectors, throughout Western Australia and nationally. Our work is project- and specification-driven: we furnish workplaces and facilities to a client brief, working from the first consultation through to delivery and installation. This is not a retail or showroom role.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced business-to-business sales professional to grow and manage our commercial and institutional accounts. You will work with clients from the earliest project conversations, understanding how a space will be used and what it needs to achieve through product selection, quoting and supply, to delivery, installation and after-sales support. It is a consultative, solutions-focused role for someone who can read a project brief, understand a client's operational and design requirements, and match the right furniture products to specification and budget.
What you will do
- Partner with commercial, institutional and government clients on furniture fit-outs across healthcare, hospitality, mining, education, government and corporate projects.
- Guide clients through the full furniture supply process from initial consultation and product selection through to delivery and installation.
- Assess each client's operational, ergonomic, workplace and design needs, and recommend furniture solutions that meet their requirements, budget and workplace goals.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, and generate new business through networking, prospecting, referrals, and relationships with design and architectural firms.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, furniture schedules and project presentations, and negotiate pricing and supply terms.
- Work closely with architects, interior designers, builders, suppliers and manufacturers to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Source products, negotiate pricing with suppliers and coordinate lead times to meet project deadlines.
- Oversee project progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Maintain client and opportunity records in our CRM, coordinate follow-ups, and report on sales performance to management.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in business-to-business, project-based or contract sales, ideally of commercial, industrial or specification-driven products.
- Confident interpreting project documentation, drawings, schedules and specifications.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and written communication skills.
- Organised and methodical, with sound reporting and documentation habits; comfortable with CRM systems and MS Office.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
What we offer
A full-time, permanent position with a base salary of $110,000 – $120,000 per year plus superannuation, a car/fuel allowance, laptop and phone, and a bonus structure.
