Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the effective delivery of Ministerial and Executive Services across the ODG, providing high-level advice, coordination and support to the Executive Director to ensure services are responsive, consistent and aligned with departmental priorities.
- Lead, coach and manage a multi-disciplinary team, including the Executive Correspondence, Cabinet and Legislation Liaison and Departmental Liaison teams, by setting clear expectations, building capability, developing talent and ensuring effective, consistent and responsive service delivery.
- Review cabinet submissions and government strategies and provide policy advice to deliver clear, timely and accurate advice to ensure high quality outcomes and mitigation of emergent risks.
- Build and maintain effective working relationship with key officers within the department and across government, providing high quality, timely and sound advice to support delivery of strategic priorities.
- Work with the Executive Director, ODG to ensure the provision of sound advice and information to central agencies across Government.
- Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace that is free from bullying, discrimination and harassment, and model leadership behaviours that enable staff to contribute, grow and perform at their best.
