We’re looking for a Part Time Food & Beverage Attendant – Section Waiter who understands that great service is more than taking an order — it’s about reading the table, knowing the menu, and making every guest feel genuinely looked after.
This role is primarily focused on dinner service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys the energy of evening dining and takes pride in delivering attentive, professional service without being overly formal.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of your allocated section throughout dinner service
- Delivering warm, confident and attentive table service from greeting through to farewell
- Taking accurate food and beverage orders and confidently guiding guests through our menu
- Developing strong knowledge of our steaks, grilled meats, sides and accompaniments
- Demonstrating knowledge of wine and beverage offerings and making thoughtful recommendations
- Recommending dishes, steak cuts, cooking preferences, wine and beverages based on guest preferences
- Delivering food and beverages with care, timing and attention to detail
- Maintaining a high level of table presentation throughout service
- Anticipating guest needs and creating thoughtful, personalised dining experiences
- Working closely with the kitchen, bar and wider Front of House team to ensure smooth service
- Managing multiple tables while maintaining a calm, polished and engaging approach
- Assisting with opening, closing and general restaurant duties as required
- Supporting the team during busy service periods and contributing to a positive team environment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel or semi-fine dining environment
- Experience in section waiting or table service, ideally within a premium or semi-fine dining setting
- A genuine passion for food, steaks, grilled meats, wine and quality dining experiences
- The confidence to talk guests through menu items, steak cuts, cooking preferences and suitable accompaniments
- Good understanding of service sequence, timing and table etiquette
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A natural ability to connect with guests while maintaining professional service standards
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
- A calm, organised and proactive approach during busy dinner services
- Current RSA certification
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- Flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods will be highly regarded
- Valid Australian working rights
