Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine foodstuffs to ensure quality
- Regulate the temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
- Prepare and cook food
- Season food during cooking
- Portion food, arrange it on plates, and add gravies, sauces, and garnishes
- Store food in temperature-controlled facilities
- Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements
- Assist with menu planning and estimating food requirements
- Train other kitchen staff and apprentices where required
Pay: $76,515.00 – $78,000.00 per year
