Our beautiful store in leafy Moonee Ponds is growing, and we’re looking for a bubbly, creative and experienced florist to join our fun and vibrant team!
We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves flowers, enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating beautiful work. You’ll need to be confident across all aspects of floristry and ready to jump in wherever the day takes you.
About you
You’ll be someone who is:
- Experienced and confident across all facets of floristry, with a minimum of 2 years’ industry experience
- Naturally bubbly, friendly and passionate about providing exceptional customer service
- Creative, with a great eye for colour, style and design
- Confident creating everything from large vase arrangements and everyday bouquets to flower crowns, funeral work, weddings and events
- Knowledgeable about flower care, conditioning and processing
- Calm and capable of working efficiently under pressure
- A positive team player who is happy to learn, contribute and get stuck in
- Comfortable speaking with customers both in-store and over the phone
- Organised, reliable and willing to work across all areas of the business
The role
No two days are quite the same! Alongside creating beautiful floral designs and helping our customers, you may also be involved in:
- Preparing weddings and large-scale events
- Processing and caring for fresh flowers
- Assisting with event and wedding installations
- Preparing orders and deliveries
- General warehouse duties and keeping our workspace organised
- Condensing and maintaining our cool room
- Supporting the wider team wherever needed
A current driver's licence is preferred, but not essential.
The important stuff
This is an experienced florist position and is not suitable for new graduates, junior florists or current apprentices.
We offer flexible working hours, with a minimum commitment of 3–4 days per week, including a combination of weekday and weekend work.
As with any busy florist, our peak periods can be BIG! Longer hours can be expected around Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Melbourne Cup, Christmas and major event periods. Friday evenings can also involve longer shifts as we prepare for busy weekends and events.
Why join Grown Florists?
