The Role
The Team Leader Allied Health Social Care is a senior allied health (Social Work) leadership position, responsible for the operational oversight, supervision, consultation and training for the Allied Health Social Care multidisciplinary stream in the Forensic Hospital.
The Allied Health Social Care multidisciplinary stream will focus on addressing social determinants of health such as housing, legal matters and welfare. This stream will also promote advocacy for patients and will include the Peer Worker positions within the Forensic Hospital.
The Team Leader Allied Health Social Care will participate in the development of social work services in the Forensic Hospital and use their experience as a skilled social worker to lead comprehensive social work services to patients and their families/carers. This position will maintain a small clinical load.
Essential Criteria

This position requires a Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

Employment screening including a National Criminal Record and Working with Children check will be required.

The Forensic Hospital is a high-secure forensic mental health facility in New South Wales, operated by Justice Health NSW. This facility provides specialist, therapeutic inpatient care for adults and adolescent forensic, correctional, and high-risk civil patients.
A multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals are dedicated to providing a care across the clinical spectrum, from high dependency and acute care, to long stay and rehabilitation care.
