About the Role
We are seeking a female Disability Support Worker who is warm, energetic, caring, and genuinely enjoys working with children.
This is an opportunity for someone who can build a positive, trusting, and engaging relationship with a young participant and make everyday activities enjoyable while supporting her development, confidence, and independence.
The ideal candidate will bring a fun, positive personality while maintaining a professional, patient, and respectful approach to support.
Key Responsibilities
When the participant is not attending daycare, support may include:
- Supporting the participant to visit parks and explore the outdoors
- Engaging in nature-based activities and exploring bugs, plants, and the environment
- Participating in fun and age-appropriate activities
- Encouraging confidence, independence, and development
- Providing morning support, including helping her get ready for the day
- Assisting with simple meal preparation, including breakfast
- Providing companionship and meaningful engagement
- Supporting the participant to participate safely in community and recreational activities
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Female
- Warm, friendly, patient, and caring
- Energetic, positive, and engaging
- Comfortable and confident working with young children
- Someone who enjoys outdoor activities and exploring
- Able to build a genuine and trusting connection with a young participant
- Reliable and committed to providing consistent support
- Patient and willing to learn the participant's individual needs
Previous experience working with children and/or people with disability is highly regarded. However, the right attitude, personality, and willingness to learn are equally important.
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable and insured vehicle
- Previous support work or relevant experience is desirable
