The Opportunity
Veolia is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to provide construction management expertise across a suite of projects in development and construction at a critical and complex operational site near Tarago, New South Wales.
This site-based Construction Manager serves as the vital on-site execution role for the site’s capital project portfolio, managing the interfaces between live operations, projects, contractors and project design requirements. This role is within the Project Delivery Team, which is responsible for the delivery of capital expenditure (capex) projects, typically ranging from $1M to $30M each in value.

What you'll be responsible for
Lead the onsite construction activities.
Act as the dedicated onsite interface manager between active construction activities and operations to maintain business continuity.
Oversee site contractors and coordinate project activities with Project Managers, Technical Services, and local plant operations.
Manage the day-to-day delivery of project construction activities (e.g. earthworks, containment systems, drainage, treatment process systems).
Direct project schedules, resource allocations, and site logistics to ensure construction activities remain on schedule and milestones are met within budget parameters.
Map, articulate, and manage construction interfaces to eliminate risk exposure to live asset performance and operational activities.
Serve as the interface for Project Managers, Technical Services, and local facility operations. Plan and schedule tie-ins, utility cut-ins, and process bypasses in close coordination with the local operations team to avoid plant downtime.
What you'll need to be successful
Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline will be highly regarded.
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with an extensive track record of construction delivery within Australia.
Proven experience working within highly complex, live industrial environments, processing facilities, or heavy utility sites.
Demonstrated exceptional communication skills and a strong collaborative team mindset
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (essential).
Construction Industry White Card.
Requirement to be permanently based onsite near Tarago, NSW, with the physical capacity to perform daily field walks, inspections and site meetings.
