Retail Manager – Full Time
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy Roadhouse and Café while driving sales growth and maintaining high customer service standards. This full-time position is available to suitably qualified candidates who can effectively manage staff, inventory, and store performance in a fast-paced environment.

Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing (minimum 38 hours per week)
Location: 29-31 Ararat Road, Stawell VIC 3380
Salary: AUD 75,000 – 85,000 per year plus superannuation
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Organise and manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and reporting.
- Monitor stock levels, product mix, and service standards to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Implement purchasing, promotional, and merchandising strategies to increase store performance.
- Lead, train, supervise, and roster staff while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales transactions, and store budgets.
- Deliver excellent customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns and complaints.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor overall store presentation and cleanliness standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage inventory ordering to ensure product availability.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time retail management experience.
- Proven ability to manage a retail or convenience store environment effectively.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in staff supervision, stock control, and sales performance management.
- Good computer skills, including point-of-sale systems and basic office software.
- Strong understanding of customer service and retail sales techniques.
- Formal qualifications in business, management, or a related field will be highly regarded but are not mandatory where substantial experience exists.
