Your opportunity
As a Plumber, you will be pivotal to ensuring Quilpie Shire's reliable water and sewerage systems. Reporting to the Water & Sewerage Supervisor, you will play a hands-on role in maintaining, repairing and installing plumbing systems across a range of sites. Your work will be key to ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient water and sewerage services across our shire.
With integrity and pride, you will:
undertake water & sewerage testing and inspections;
conduct plumbing & drainage activities;
organise and coordinate assigned tasks and resources;
operate and maintain equipment, plant and machinery; and
supervise and provide training to apprentices and new employees as well as temporary resources to council.
What you'll bring...
You are an independent problem solver with a strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. You are also a collaborative and adaptive team player who is motivated to achieve for our 700 strong community, sharing our values of Respect, Communication, Fun and Humour, Pride, Trust and Teamwork.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
trade qualification in Plumbing & Drainage; and
current General Construction Induction card.
Although it's not essential, it would be great if you had;
Gas Fitting certificate;
other relevant trade qualification;
current 'HR' drivers licence; and
Confined Spaces Entry certificate.
