We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Residential Construction Estimator to support a premium residential construction company based in Western Australia.
You'll work closely with the director to audit and standardise existing estimates, build reliable cost data from historical projects, coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing, and improve estimating templates and workflows within the business.

This is a part-time remote role (24 hours per week) with the opportunity to grow. You'll manage the full estimating lifecycle across custom homes, renovations, and extensions, from initial price checks and concept estimates, through multiple versions as designs evolve, to final contract pricing.
Over time, the role is expected to grow into purchase order management, construction cost tracking, and using completed project data to improve future estimates.

Review existing project estimates, complete material take-offs, and prepare multiple estimate versions from concept through to final contract pricing.
Build and maintain a reliable cost database using historical project data, including labour rates, material costs, and price escalation adjustments.
Price variations, design changes, and construction alternatives with fast turnaround times.
Build and maintain estimating templates, recipes, cost catalogues, and cost codes to standardise how projects are estimated.
Create scopes of work for subcontractors, send and follow up requests for quotes.
Coordinate pricing updates, supplier communication, and contractor documentation.
Maintain organised quote tracking systems and supplier records.
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs that can be used for material purchase orders.
Assist with improving estimating workflows and operational systems.
Help integrate AI estimating tools into the business and cross-check their outputs for accuracy.
Maintain organised project documentation within OneDrive and SharePoint.
Help standardise estimating processes so that every project is set up consistently and cost data is usable across the business.
You are proficient in the following:
Construction estimating and take-off software.
Construction project management software (experience with WunderBuild or BuildExact is a plus, but not essential).
Microsoft Office 365 (including OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams).
3-5 years experience estimating for a construction company based in Australia, the US, or Europe (strong preference for candidates with estimation experience outside of the Philippines).
A civil engineering, quantity surveying, architecture, or building background.
Can confidently handle all of the main responsibilities of the role.
Experience creating scopes of work and managing subcontractor communication.
Experience building or maintaining cost databases and price lists.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
Can confidently manage multiple systems and learn new software quickly.
Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
Experience supporting residential construction, custom homes, renovations, or extensions.
Is incredibly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Can confidently keep up with a fast-paced, hands-on builder/director.
Can work independently for the majority of working hours, then come together to review and collaborate.
Is able to build better systems, templates, and processes to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Takes ownership of projects from start to finish.
Enjoys problem-solving and improving workflows.
Can be trusted with access to sensitive project cost data and pricing.
