About the role
Bunge is seeking a commercially minded and relationship‑focused Grain & Cotton Merchant to join our Grower Services / Accumulation team in Toowoomba.
This role is responsible for grower accumulation activities across grain, pulses and cotton, along with contributing to supply and demand analysis. You will play a key role working alongside the QLD / NTH NSW Origination Manager in building strong grower relationships, supporting trading outcomes and providing valuable market insights to the broader business.
This is a dynamic and hands-on position, offering strong exposure to grower engagement, commodity markets and accumulation strategy within a global agribusiness.

Key responsibilities
- Purchase grain, pulses and cotton from growers, consultants and brokers to achieve accumulation targets
- Promote Bunge accumulation products and pricing options, including cash and contracted grain
- Work closely with the Trade Desk and Regional Origination Managers to deliver accumulation plans
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers through regular engagement, meetings and on-farm visits
- Attend and present at grower events, field days and industry forums
- Build networks with consultants, market commentators and end users
- Coordinate with bulk handling and operations teams to support execution of accumulation plans
- Monitor grain and cotton markets, sharing timely insights with internal stakeholders
- Gather on-the-ground intelligence across regional growing areas to support market analysis
- Contribute to supply and demand analysis, production modelling and reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely contract administration, position reporting and CRM data entry
- Actively contribute to a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with health and safety standard
About you
- Knowledge of broadacre agriculture, agribusiness, agronomy or rural finance is highly regarded
- Strong understanding of the Australian grain and cotton industries
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
- Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Willingness to travel regionally and interstate as required
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence
