This is a rare and newly created opportunity to help shape the future of fundraising at MS Queensland. As the Strategic Relationships Manager, you will cultivate, solicit and steward high-value relationships with strategic partners, major donors, trusts and foundations, and prospective stakeholders. Your work will generate the giving, engagement and long-term support needed to advance our strategic objectives, grow revenue, fund vital programs, support research and strengthen our community impact.
Working closely with the Board, Executive Leadership Team and senior leaders, you will play a pivotal role in elevating our relationship-led fundraising and deepening the way we connect supporters to purpose. Based in our contemporary Milton Neuro Wellness Hub, in the heart of vibrant Park Road, you’ll join a collaborative team united by authenticity, care and purpose. With flexible and hybrid working arrangements and a culture built on trust, respect and balance, you’ll be supported to do meaningful work in a way that works for you.
What you’ll spearhead:
- Develop and deliver strategic relationship plans that grow high-value partnerships, philanthropic giving and community impact.
- Manage and expand a diverse portfolio of major donors, funders, corporate partners, philanthropists and senior decision-makers.
- Lead major gift fundraising activity, building a strong pipeline of supporters giving $5,000 and above.
- Identify and pursue new partnership, funding and collaboration opportunities that align with MS Queensland’s strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Supporter Impact to create compelling cases for support and meaningful donor journeys.
- Negotiate and manage partnership agreements that deliver shared value, long-term sustainability, profile and impact.
- Track, analyse and report on pipeline health, fundraising performance, ROI, risks and emerging opportunities.
Your Experience & Approach:
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with empathy, diplomacy and confidence in sensitive, high-trust environments.
- Proven success securing significant gifts, cultivating major donors and converting opportunities into results.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to inspire others and connect people to purpose.
- A proactive, self-driven approach, bringing energy, initiative, vision and commitment to meaningful work.
- Experience growing relationship-based fundraising programs through cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
- Commercial confidence to manage budgets, negotiate effectively and guide evidence-based fundraising strategy.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset, with strong database skills and a genuine commitment to MS Queensland’s mission, values and impact.
