We are looking for an experienced Electrical/Electronic Rolling Stock Engineer to join our Melbourne-based team and play a key role in delivering our rail projects in Melbourne and interstate!
This is a technical role for someone with extensive experience in rolling stock and project delivery. It will be suited to someone who enjoys combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership.
The Role
· Managing stakeholder communication (Internal/External) throughout the duration of the project.
· Continually monitor progress, budgets and identify potential risks & opportunity within each project
· Interpret, read, and comply with relevant technical specificationsand standards
· Update existing electrical schematics with any as built changes or modifications
· Engage effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulators
· Support business growth by contributing to capability development, tenders, and technical strategies
· Generate cost estimates, sub-contract prices, drawings, sketches, documentation and raise purchase orders relevant to specific projects
· Provide required documentation for installation and testing of electrical control systems for new projects.
About You
· Degree-qualified engineer (Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar) with strong rolling stock experience
· Extensive years of rolling stock experience is required across light rail, heavy rail or high speed rail.
· Experience across multiple railway operations systems is essential
· Excellent written, verbal communication, organisation, time management and problem-solving skills
