Wards Central Dining is a relaxed, community-minded dining hall built around good food, great drinks and thoughtful service. We’re a judgement-free space, and looking after people — guests and teammates alike — sits at the centre of everything we do.
We’re currently hiring full-time Front of House team members to join us behind the counter and on the floor. We have multiple roles available, and are open to both experienced hospitality professionals and keen learners who care about doing things well.
We exist to serve, and we need help doing it.
This is a hands-on, service-led role working across counter and floor. You’ll be:
Welcoming guests and looking after them throughout their visit
Taking orders, serving food and drinks, and keeping service flowing calmly
Working behind the counter, including POS and payments
Making coffee and beverages (or learning to)
Keeping the venue clean, organised and inviting
Working closely with the kitchen and FOH team to create a positive service environment
Full-time (38 hours per week)
A mix of shifts across the week
Morning shifts from 6:00am and evening shifts while the venue is open
We actively build clear shift patterns, with roles suited to people who prefer:
Mostly mornings, or
Mostly evenings
We’re looking for people who genuinely enjoy hospitality. You might be:
A confident all-rounder who can run counter and floor with ease, or
A motivated learner with some hospitality experience who wants to grow
In both cases, you’ll be:
Friendly, calm and attentive with guests
Reliable, organised and a good team player
Comfortable in a fast-paced but thoughtful service environment
Coffee experience is welcome, but we’re happy to train the right person.
Salary: $58,000 – $68,000 per year, depending on experience and roster pattern
