The Role
We are seeking to appoint dedicated and passionate Laboratory Technicians to join our team.
As Laboratory Technicians, suitable applicants will provide support and advice to the Head of Learning Area and teaching staff to ensure that curriculum requirements are met. Part of the role includes but not limited to:
- Providing advice on suitable experiments to support teaching and curriculum outcomes for science classes
- Preparing chemicals, equipment and materials, design and construct teaching aids, and collect and care for living organisms for study purposes
- Organising preparation areas and classroom laboratories and undertake general housekeeping of chemicals and equipment
The ideal applicants should have experience working within a science laboratory, including knowledge of laboratory techniques and relevant safety and legislative requirements. As Laboratory Technicians, applicants should have good written and interpersonal communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.

- Demonstrated good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated well developed keyboarding and computer skills including a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
