About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to perform personal care duties for our independent residents residing in apartments and serviced apartments at John Flynn village in Burwood East (VIC). This is a Part Time role working Monday to Friday 0900-1400.
At Ryman we are shaping the future of care. As a Personal Care Worker, you are helping care for our independent residents by adding value to their daily routines. Enable our residents to live life to the fullest through the provision of:
- Personal care
- Companionship
- Shopping
- Occasional ad hoc duties
No two days are the same as your schedule will involve visiting multiple Ryman independent apartment residents throughout the week within our beautiful villages!
About you
As Ryman expand our care offerings, we are looking for individuals who value kindness, care, and excellence to deliver care that is good enough for mum and dad. In addition we are looking for:
- Certificate III/IV in Ageing support or Certificate III in Individual Support
- Previous experience working with elderly / in a client centric role
- Kindness in your DNA. You must be empathetic
- Be resilient - some days are challenging
- Outstanding communication skills. You must be able to establish strong connections and trust with our residents
- A reliable, friendly, and professional style
