The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking an accomplished infrastructure leader to join its executive team as the Associate Director-General (Road Integration). About the Role
As the Associate Director-General (Road Integration), you will provide executive leadership across Queensland's road infrastructure portfolio, ensuring the successful integration of infrastructure delivery, asset stewardship, and network operations. Reporting directly to the Director-General, you will balance strategic leadership with practical delivery oversight, offering trusted advice to government and building confidence across the department, industry, and regional Queensland.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the integration of infrastructure delivery, asset management, and network operations to optimise investment and deliver lasting public value.
Providing strategic advice to Ministers and senior government leaders on complex infrastructure, engineering, financial, and governance matters.
Building trusted relationships with stakeholders across government, industry, and regional communities.
Driving organisational improvement, fostering collaboration, and developing high performing executive teams.
Championing innovation and continuous improvement in the stewardship of Queensland's State Controlled Road Network.
About You
We are seeking a visionary leader with a proven track record in managing large, complex government or public infrastructure environments. You will have significant experience leading major road, transport, or comparable infrastructure delivery programs and demonstrate sophisticated political, strategic, and commercial judgement.

Mandatory Requirements
Appointment is offered on a five-year Senior Executive Service contract at the HLSE 4 classification level.
The position is based in Brisbane and requires regular travel throughout Queensland.
