We're seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer with deep Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) expertise to provide technical leadership and drive the evolution of ATCO's cloud platforms. This role will lead the design, governance, optimisation and continual improvement of cloud services, ensuring secure, scalable and cost-effective solutions that support business growth and digital transformation.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the design, architecture and continual improvement of ATCO's Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment and associated cloud services.
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across OCI, cloud integration, automation, security and governance.
- Drive cloud architecture decisions, standards and best practices to ensure scalable, secure and resilient platforms.
- Lead the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation and modern cloud engineering practices across technology teams.
- Partner with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications and business stakeholders to shape cloud strategy and roadmap initiatives.
- Champion cloud governance, cost optimisation, platform performance and operational excellence across cloud environments.

About you
You will bring a combination of deep cloud engineering expertise, strong Oracle ecosystem knowledge and a passion for delivering secure, scalable and reliable technology solutions.
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations or Architect certification.
- Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect or similar certification (desirable).
Experience
- Extensive experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise-scale Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments.
- Strong experience across OCI networking, security, identity management, load balancing, high availability and cloud governance.
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle APEX and Oracle Fusion environments, including ERP, HCM and EAM.
- Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers and influencing cloud strategy and architecture decision-making.
- Experience leading complex cloud transformation, migration and integration initiatives.
- Knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code practices using tools such as Terraform, OCI Resource Manager, GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and provide strategic guidance and recommendations.
