We are looking for a passionate and motivated Qualified Chef to join a dedicated kitchen team in North East Tasmania.
Located in a popular coastal destination, our venue offers a relaxed dining environment with beautiful coastal surroundings, ocean views and outdoor dining, attracting a mix of local customers, families, holidaymakers, travellers and visitors exploring the North East.
About the Opportunity
Working under the direction of our Head Chef, you will become an important part of a dedicated kitchen team delivering a varied food offering across our bistro and dining operations.
The kitchen offers the opportunity to work across a diverse menu featuring fresh Tasmanian produce, seafood, hearty pub favourites, modern dishes and wood-fired pizzas, with regular specials providing the opportunity to be creative and showcase your skills.
We are looking for someone who doesn't simply want to follow recipes, but someone who inspires to create, enjoys developing ideas and has a genuine flair and passion for food.
The Person We're Looking For

- Are a qualified Chef with relevant commercial kitchen experience
- Have a genuine passion for food and creating great dining experiences
- Have a creative flair and enthusiasm for developing dishes and specials
- Take pride in presentation, consistency and quality
- Enjoy working with fresh and locally sourced Tasmanian produce
- Are comfortable working across a varied bistro-style menu
- Can work efficiently and calmly in a busy kitchen
- Are reliable, motivated and take pride in your work
- Enjoy working as part of a dedicated and supportive team
- Are willing to contribute ideas while working under the direction of the Head Chef
- Understand the importance of food safety, hygiene, allergen management and kitchen processes
- Can follow established procedures and maintain high standards even during busy service periods
- Have a positive attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to the success of the kitchen
