Active Assist is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to support a 50-year-old gentleman living with hemiplegia in Mount Waverley.
This is a role for someone who enjoys working one-on-one, can build genuine rapport, communicates confidently in English, is an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen and understands that quality support extends beyond personal care.
About the Role
You will provide:
- Personal care, including stoma management.
- Community access and transport.
- Assistance with daily living activities.
- Encouragement, companionship and meaningful conversation.
- Support to improve wellbeing, confidence and social participation.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting adults with physical disabilities.
- Proven experience with stoma care.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Professional documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid & CPR.
- Victorian Driver Licence.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Smartphone.
