Animal/Kennel Attendants & Dog Groomers – Penrith Area

An opportunity for dedicated individuals seeking long-term stability in the animal care field. Sydney Dog and Cat Boarding is a family-run business that has been in the pet care industry for over 30 years and we’re looking for hands-on and reliable staff to join our team.
Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Feeding and caring for dogs and cats
- Cleaning kennels, runs, and cattery areas
- Exercising and enriching the animals
- Washing and basic grooming of dogs
- Administering medication as directed
- Assisting customers on-site
- Monitoring the overall health and condition of the animals in care
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a kennel, vet clinic, or grooming role (essential)
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle. (essential)
- Grooming applications must be experienced in clipping and grooming all breeds.
- Confident handling of dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and social skills
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team
- Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Strong time management skills to ensure duties are completed efficiently
- Knowledge of basic dog breeds
- Local to the Penrith area

Availability Requirements:
- Availability on weekends, public holidays, school holidays, and busy periods (essential)
- Flexibility with shifts – hours and days vary based on occupancy
