About this Position:
We’re seeking a proactive and technically skilled Development Engineer to join our Economy, Planning & Environment team. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of our region by assessing development proposals, supporting infrastructure delivery, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for our community.

What we trust you to deliver:
Provide engineering advice on development applications and planning proposals (roads, drainage, water, sewer, geotechnical)
Assess and approve engineering plans, subdivision works, and construction certificates
Inspect civil works and ensure compliance with approved standards and conditions
Contribute to development of policies, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
Administer bonds and ensure developments meet certification requirements
Respond to technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions
Engage with stakeholders including developers, contractors, and internal teams
What you will need to be successful:
Degree in Engineering (Civil or related discipline)
Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia
Current Class C Driver’s Licence
Construction Induction (White Card)
Full position description:
Full Time: 70 hours a fortnight
Salary: A salary range from $89,267 to $102,657 + superannuation
