About your opportunity:
In this position you will....
Apply a high level of clinical knowledge and skills to the management of the Speech Pathology and Audiology Department's clinical services, ensuring alignment with the CHHHS organisational goals.
Work collaboratively with Executive Director of Allied Health to implement health reforms relevant to the profession, as well as the national health reform agenda.
Be accountable for the administration, direction and control of asset management, financial management and human resource management of the Cairns Hospital Speech Pathology and Audiology Department's cost centre. Budget accountability for speech pathology and audiology services is $3,368,110.
About you:
In your new role you will...
Demonstrate the ability to apply advanced expertise in the operational management of speech pathology and audiology services in line with financial and human resource delegations and contemporary management practices.
Be responsible for clinical and corporate governance of speech pathology and audiology services across multiple specialities, services and facilities within the CHHHS.
Demonstrate skills in change management, collaboration and negotiation, written and interpersonal communication, and the use of technology to facilitate positive multidisciplinary team functioning and to deal with complex issues in a sensitive and impartial manner.
