About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Scheduler to support operations at the McPhee Creek Project. This FIFO role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, site-based environment and enjoys being hands-on, accountable and part of a close-knit project team. This role is ideal for a hands-on supervisor with a strong background in heavy vehicle or mobile equipment fleets who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-site environment and enjoys leading teams while ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day fleet operations, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring the site fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in line with MGM standards.
Success in this role means clear ownership, strong teamwork, and helping establish “how we do things” at McPhee Creek.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day fleet operations on site, ensuring vehicle availability and reliability
- Coordinate maintenance, servicing, and repairs with workshop personnel and contractors
- Ensure compliance with MGM, client, and legislative safety and maintenance requirements
- Oversee vehicle inspections, defect reporting, and maintenance scheduling
- Maintain accurate fleet records, compliance documentation, and reporting
- Lead and support site personnel, promoting a strong safety-first culture
- Assist with fleet mobilisation and ramp-up for the McPhee Creek Project
- Monitor costs and support continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Previous experience as a Fleet Supervisor or similar role within bulk haulage, mining, or heavy vehicle environments
- Strong understanding of FIFO operations and remote site logistics
- Sound knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance, compliance, and safety systems
- Proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and make decisions in a remote project setting
- Competent with fleet management systems and reporting tools
Essential Requirements
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (MC desirable)
- Fleet management background (highly regarded)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Full Australian working rights
