About the Role
St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Events and Venues Technician to join our Events team to cover a 5 month leave period. This is a hands-on role responsible for the technical design, delivery and operation of a wide range of College and external events. Working across sound, lighting, audio visual production and venue operations, you will help create exceptional event experiences while ensuring our venues and technical systems perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical production for College and external events, including audio, lighting, staging and audiovisual requirements.
- Coordinate technical planning, scheduling and event logistics to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Operate, maintain and optimise venue technology, equipment and bookable spaces.
- Provide expert technical advice and outstanding service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Produce and support digital event content, including livestreams, recordings and multimedia productions.
- Maintain safe work practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of venue operations and technical systems.
What You Bring
- A relevant tertiary degree qualification in Technical Production, Audio Engineering, Live Production, Event Technology or a related discipline, and/or extensive relevant industry experience. Relevant licences and certifications in rigging, EWP and working at heights would be highly regarded.
- Comprehensive knowledge of live event production, venue operations, sound, lighting, audiovisual systems and livestream technology.
- Experience in a similar role, with demonstrated capability delivering technical production across events, performances and venue-based operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to the College's Christian ethos and values.
