Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Cooling Tower Technician to join our team.
Your Role
This is a full-time, hands-on technical position involving the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of cooling towers and associated air conditioning and mechanical equipment.
You will work across a range of commercial and industrial sites carrying out scheduled maintenance, breakdown repairs, equipment upgrades, refurbishments and cooling tower installations.
What You’ll Do
- Install, service, maintain and repair cooling towers and associated air conditioning and mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to motors, fans, pumps, bearings, belts, gearboxes and related components.
- Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs.
- Assist with cooling tower installations, replacements, upgrades and refurbishments.
- Test and inspect cooling tower systems and components to identify faults, wear and operational issues.
- Perform cooling tower refurbishments, including replacement of internal and mechanical components such as fill media, drift eliminators, motors and fans.
- Replace and adjust mechanical components, including fill media, drift eliminators, motors and fans.
- Read and interpret technical specifications and equipment requirements.
- Complete service reports and accurately record faults and repairs.
- Follow WHS procedures and work safely at heights and in confined spaces where required.
- Travel to customer sites across Sydney, NSW and regional areas as required.
Who You Are
· Minimum Certificate III in Air Conditioning, Mechanical Services or an equivalent qualification, OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience;
- Relevant experience in air conditioning, HVAC, mechanical services or cooling tower systems.
- Demonstrated experience installing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing mechanical or HVAC equipment.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with motors, fans, pumps, bearings, belts and other mechanical components.
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications and equipment documentation.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Valid White Card
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at heights
- Team player with strong work ethic and communication
Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
