Job Description
Ramsay Health Care is seeking a full-time Clinical Trials Assistant who will be responsible for the assisting in the implementation and delivery of clinical trial activities at Hollywood Private Hospital.
The Clinical Trials & Research Unit at Hollywood Private Hospital currently undertakes a range of trials across several disciplines, including haematology, oncology and cardiology, with the expectation that the unit will continue to expand and offer services to other clinical disciplines within the Hospital.
Reporting to the Clinical Trials & Research Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of the clinical trials within the Clinical Trial Unit.
About Role:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to a leading clinical trials unit at Hollywood Private Hospital.
Key responsibilities include:

Coordination of patient bookings and other patient activities for the unit as required

Assist the clinical trial coordinators with the collection of patient history and related information for the purposes of screening patients for trials as required

Assist the clinical trial coordinators with the collection and collation of lab results as required

Assist the clinical trial coordinators with site visits and sponsor related requirements as needed

Coordinate ordering of supplies and materials required for the clinical trials unit, including ordering and monitoring of stock for clinical trials lab kits and consumables

Assist the coordinators in maintaining the Site Files for each Trial

Assist with data entry and query resolution using the relevant systems within the agreed timeframes.

Ensure that all data supplied to sponsors is accurate and matches source documentation.

Maintain written and verbal communication with all stakeholders in a timely manner

Build and maintain strong working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including clinicians involved in Clinical Trials at the Hospital.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

Registered Nurse, allied health or science qualification, or relevant prior experience in clinical trials.

Demonstrated understanding of clinical trials methodology.

Demonstrable commitment to high professional standards in all aspects of work.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrable excellent communication and organisation skills.

Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

Understanding the importance of confidentiality, patient privacy and data integrity.

Computer software, informatics, and data collection skills.
-
Demonstrated high level oral and written skills.

Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) requirements

Ability to effectively manage your time and workload within a fast paced, dynamic environment!

Prior experience in a research or clinical environment, including experience in the conduct and coordination of clinical trials would be highly desirable, particularly experience in oncology and/or haematology trials.
