There are also potential opportunities to undertake fixed-term contracts covering annual leave, sick leave, or short-term vacancies. This role is casual, based on an "as and when required" schedule with no fixed hours. We offer variable shifts including 6, 8 or 12 hours.
Key Accountabilities of the role include (not limited to):
Provides patient care in accordance with documented care or treatment plans while prioritizing workload based on patient needs, acuity and optimal time for intervention
Demonstrates proficiency in various nursing procedures and techniques whilst utilising critical thinking and problem-solving skills in patient care.
Ensures that all documentation is accurate and completed in a professional and timely manner and in accordance with MQ Health Policy
Maintains good customer relations in a way that acknowledges dignity, culture, values, beliefs and the rights of individuals and groups
Adopts a consultative approach within a multi-disciplinary work environment whilst ensuring the patient’s duty of care is fulfilled
Ensures all mandatory education and competencies are completed in a timely manner
Demonstrates a willingness to work positively within a team to achieve team goals and the provision of excellence in care/service delivery
Participates in and contributes to occupational health, quality, and safety activities to ensure a safe work environment for clients, community, staff and visitors

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1-page cover letter:
Previous experience in Acute Care and/or Perioperative services is highly desirable
Effective interpersonal communication skills
Flexibility with roster and shift availabilities
Well-developed technology skills including the use of electronic medical records systems, MQ Word, Excel and web-based research
Competence in assessing, planning and implementing preventative care approaches to health care
Proven ability to establish professional relationships with peers and clients using a customer-service focus
Strong time management skills required to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Critical thinking skills, initiative, and ability to work independently and within a team

Registered Nurse/Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
