About the role
Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, our team of Business Development Officers are responsible for managing their own assigned territory. As a Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining current business, identifying and solving issues and complaint resolution.
Our BDOs form a part of our wider Sales & Marketing team. Whilst the role is predominantly performed out and about in the community, we provide office space & a car bay in our Subiaco Head Office for administrative tasks and catch ups with the team.
Remuneration is a combination of a competitive base salary, superannuation and an incentive reward program. You will also be provided with a company car, laptop and mobile phone.
Key Responsibilities:

Visit GP clinics, specialist rooms, allied health practices and healthcare partners to introduce and promote our services

Build and maintain positive relationships with doctors, practice managers and administrative teams

Provide referrers with information about our services, access pathways, turnaround times and branch updates

Act as a point of contact for referrer enquiries and escalate issues to the appropriate internal team

Gather feedback from referrers and identify opportunities to improve service and communication
-
Support branch openings, local area marketing and referrer engagement campaigns
-
Maintain accurate records of practice visits and referrer interactions
-
Assist with distributing referral pads, marketing materials and service updates
About you
-
Previous experience in sales, business development or relationship management
-
Confident & comfortable with speaking to doctors, practice managers & healthcare teams

Professional personal presentation
-
People skills – be a great communicator, listener & build rapport quickly
-
Excellent organisation and time management skills to manage your own schedule
-
Willingness to learn about medical imaging, referral pathways and healthcare operations
-
Ability to think on your feet and problem solve
-
A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between practices/clinics/branches
-
A tertiary qualification within commerce or a business-related field will be looked upon favourably
