We are currently on the lookout for dedicated, compassionate, and hardworking Aged Care Support Workers to join our growing team. In this rewarding role, you will be on the front lines of improving our clients' quality of life. By collaborating with care coordinators, health professionals, and families, you will deliver customised support that helps the elderly maintain their independence and stay actively engaged in their local communities.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
- Deliver top-tier, person-centred care that aligns with customised support plans and company guidelines.
- Assist clients with daily personal care routines, including showering, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
- Help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment through light domestic duties and meal preparation.
- Facilitate community connection by transporting and accompanying clients to appointments, social outings, and shopping trips.
- Monitor client wellbeing, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in their health or support needs.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Empower clients to reach their personal goals while preserving their dignity and independence.
- Ensure strict compliance with all privacy, safeguarding, infection control, and WHS standards.
What You Bring to the Table
- A naturally compassionate, respectful, and person-first approach to aged care.
- Previous background in home care, community services, disability support, or aged care (highly regarded).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong time-management skills and a highly organised mindset.
- A professional, dependable work ethic with excellent decision-making capabilities.
- The versatility to thrive both autonomously and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Mandatory Credentials & Requirements
- Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or a closely related field.
- Valid National Police Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (where applicable to the specific client).
- Current and valid First Aid and CPR Certifications.
- Up-to-date Manual Handling training.
- Current Driver’s Licence, alongside a reliable, roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Up-to-date vaccination status in line with industry standards.
- A personal smartphone for team communication and shift reporting.
