We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Field Engineer to join one of Australia’s most significant offshore LNG projects.
This is a 12 month fixed-term contract supporting an offshore LNG development that is well into the execution phase. Working on a FIFO 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off roster, you will play a key role in supporting safe, efficient and high-quality execution offshore.

About the Role
Reporting to the Construction Lead, you will act as the key interface between site operations and engineering teams, ensuring constructable, cost-effective and schedule-driven outcomes throughout project execution. You will provide technical leadership across structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) scopes, driving the successful delivery of field execution activities, resolving technical issues and supporting management of change processes through to project completion.
Your key responsibilities:
- Provide construction engineering support throughout offshore execution activities
Review engineering deliverables and identify constructability improvements
Act as the interface between offshore execution teams and engineering centres
Prepare and review implementation work packs and fabrication documentation
Monitor fabrication progress, quality and delivery schedules
Support subcontractor and supplier management activities
Participate in constructability reviews and execution planning workshops
Manage site-based engineering changes and support Management of Change (MOC) processes
Prepare progress reporting for project management and key stakeholders
Champion safe work practices and ensure compliance with client, statutory and Technip Energies standards
About You
- An Engineering Degree or relevant Trade Qualification
- 8+ years experience in Oil & Gas, LNG or chemical processing
- Experience in offshore construction projects
- Strong SMP construction engineering expertise
- Proven delivery of cost, schedule and execution outcomes
- Strong stakeholder engagement, planning and problem-solving skills
Australian LNG experience and Primavera P6 knowledge are desirable
