Bottle Shop Assistant
About the Role We're looking for a friendly and reliable person to join our team as a Bottle Shop Assistant. This is a casual role predominantly to cover illness with other staff with shifts finishing up to 7:30pm. While 8 hours is listed as the minimum anything up to 25 is possible.
Responsibilities
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Process sales through the POS system accurately
- Assist customers with product selection and recommendations
- Receive, unpack and rotate stock
- Maintain shelf presentation and ensure products are correctly priced and labelled
- Keep the store clean, tidy and well-presented at all times
- Comply with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements, including checking ID and refusing service where required
What We're Looking For
- Current RSA certification (or willingness to obtain prior to starting)
- Availability on weekends, including evenings until 7:30pm
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and a can-do attitude
- Physical fitness to handle stock lifting and movement, including cartons weighing up to 15kg
- Previous retail or hospitality experience is a plus but not essential
