Key responsibilities:
Based from our Marsden Park workshop, you'll work as part of a supportive team while also enjoying the freedom to plan your own day, manage your route and work autonomously.
You'll have a clear schedule, but the autonomy to plan your route and organise your day efficiently. You'll work across different locations, tackle different electrical issues and see the results of your work out in the community.
It's a great opportunity for an electrician who enjoys being hands-on, working outdoors and having a bit of independence, while still being part of a great team.
In this hands-on role where you'll be out in the field maintaining a range of electrical assets, including:

Advertising and light boxes

Courtesy lighting
-
RCDs and trip switches
-
Solar shelter panels and batteries
-
Street Furniture electrical systems
-
Other electrical infrastructure across Sydney

You'll carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, helping keep our assets looking their best and operating safely.
What you'll be doing

Conduct electrical safety inspections, RCD testing and compliance checks

Diagnose and repair electrical faults across our Street Furniture assets
-
Complete preventative and reactive maintenance
-
Record inspections, repairs and maintenance activities using our mobile technology
-
Respond to incidents where assets have been damaged by traffic or other events
-
Make sites safe and secure for the public until permanent repairs can be completed

Work closely with the Team Leader and wider maintenance team
-
Champion a strong WHS and safety-first culture
About you
We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in their work.
You'll need:

A current, unrestricted A Class Electrical Licence that meets applicable Government requirements

A full, valid Australian Driver Licence

The ability to work autonomously and use your initiative

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
-
Good technology skills and the ability to use mobile apps for reporting

A strong commitment to electrical safety and WHS
-
A team-focused attitude and willingness to support your colleagues
-
Availability for occasional on-call and after-hours work as part of a rotating roster
