About the role
Friendly Plumbing PTY LTD is seeking a Qualified Plumber - Maintenance Plumber to join our growing team in Sydney NSW. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to deliver high-quality plumbing services to our valued clients across the Sydney region. As a Maintenance Plumber, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that our clients receive prompt, professional, and reliable plumbing solutions. You will work on-site at various client locations throughout Sydney, with occasional travel required within the local area.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair plumbing faults and issues, including leaks, blockages, and faulty fixtures
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future problems and ensure optimal performance
- Install, replace, and upgrade plumbing fixtures, pipes, and drainage systems
- Inspect plumbing systems and provide recommendations for improvements or repairs
- Respond promptly to client service calls and emergency plumbing situations
- Read and interpret technical drawings and plumbing plans
- Ensure all work complies with relevant plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining problems and solutions in a clear and professional manner
- Collaborate with team members and other trades professionals on multi-trade projects
What we're looking for
- Current and valid plumbing qualification or apprenticeship completion in New South Wales
- Proven experience as a maintenance plumber or similar plumbing role
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, and repair techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose plumbing issues quickly and accurately
- Proficiency with plumbing tools and equipment
- Understanding of Australian plumbing codes and regulations, particularly in NSW
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travelling to client sites
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour, including working at heights and in confined spaces
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
- Experience in emergency plumbing or 24/7 call-out services is advantageous
