Retail Sales Assistant – WorkwearPosition Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves assisting customers in-store with workwear, uniforms, safety footwear, and PPE, while also building relationships with business clients. From time to time, you will visit customer sites to discuss uniform requirements, deliver samples, follow up on quotes, and help maintain strong ongoing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to retail and business customers.
- Assist customers with selecting workwear, uniforms, safety footwear, and PPE.
- Prepare quotations and process customer orders.
- Follow up on customer enquiries and quotations to secure sales.
- Visit existing and prospective clients when required to discuss uniform and workwear requirements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with business customers.
- Coordinate customer orders with the production team to ensure timely delivery.
- Process sales and payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Receive, unpack, and replenish stock.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented showroom.
- Assist with stocktakes and inventory management.
- Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email, and in person.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales and customer service goals.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence in speaking with business clients and following up on sales opportunities.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience using POS systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and positive attitude.
Requirements
- Current driver's licence (essential).

Pay: $26.50 – $28.50 per hour
