Seeking an experienced Senior Sheet Metal Worker to join a well-established manufacturing workshop in a metropolitan area of Western Australia.
This is a good opportunity for a Sheet Metal Worker who wants stable workshop-based work with an established manufacturer. You will work on custom switchboard enclosures and electrical cabinets for mining, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects, with modern in-house facilities, varied work, and long-term career development.
About the Role
- Experience with SolidWorks 3D and CNC fabrication strongly preferred.
- Competitive hourly rate in line with industry standards.
- Location within Perth metropolitan region in Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal cabinets, doors, boxes, and enclosures using steel, aluminium, and stainless steel materials.
- Operate CNC machinery and various fabrication tools such as press brakes, guillotines, and welders.
- Utilise 3D CAD software to assist with design and CNC programming.
- Work closely with the fabrication team and supervisors to uphold quality and productivity.
- Carry out welding, cutting, bending, folding, and general sheet metal tasks.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff and apprentices, potentially stepping into a leadership capacity.
- Coordinate movement of fabricated components between workshop areas using company transport.
