About The Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join the Brand New Palliative Care Unit at Wyong Hospital. This part-time position is 3 days per week (days negotiable), with standard working hours of 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) plays a pivotal role in fostering excellence in nursing practice by coordinating, facilitating, and delivering evidence-based clinical education within the Palliative Care Unit. Working collaboratively with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) and Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC), the CNE will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate education programs that support ongoing professional development and enhance the clinical capabilities of the nursing workforce.

About You

You have current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

You have extensive recent post registration clinical experience in the provision of palliative care at an advanced level.

Detail relevant experience and attach relevant qualifications and documentation that support you have met the Essential Criteria of this position.

Extensive recent post registration clinical experience in the provision of palliative care at an advanced level.

Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching using an understanding of the Principles of Adult Learning and incorporating Evidence Based Practice.

Demonstrated experience in the development and evaluation of educational programs for a unit and ability to use practice development to enhance clinical practice.
