Position Summary
Agile Energy is seeking an experienced Electrician – Solar & Battery Site Specialist to conduct site inspections, technical assessments and support the delivery of commercial and industrial solar and battery storage projects across Australia.
The role is responsible for assessing customer sites, identifying technical requirements, validating project feasibility and providing accurate information to support engineering, sales and project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections for commercial and industrial solar and battery projects.
- Complete detailed site assessment reports including photographs, measurements and technical observations.
- Assess existing electrical infrastructure, switchboards, transformers and distribution networks.
- Identify installation constraints, safety risks and compliance requirements.
- Verify customer energy infrastructure and meter configurations.
- Review roof conditions, structural considerations and cable pathways.
- Confirm available switchboard capacity and connection requirements.
- Identify opportunities for battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging and energy efficiency upgrades.
- Liaise directly with customers, facility managers, site managers and contractors during inspections.
- Support engineering teams with technical information required for system design.
- Assist with commissioning, troubleshooting and defect resolution when required.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant Australian Standards, electrical regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and project documentation.
Skills & Experience
- Current Electrical Licence.
- CEC Accredited Installer (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial solar installations.
- Strong understanding of commercial switchboards, metering and electrical distribution systems.
- Experience with battery storage systems and grid connections.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single line diagrams.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and mobile reporting applications.
- Current driver's licence.
- Working at Heights, EWP and First Aid certifications (preferred).
