The Requirements
- Extensive experience within a major global insurance broker or leading corporate underwriting organisation, with a strong track record managing complex Property & Casualty portfolios.
- Proven success leading high-performing, geographically dispersed teams across Australia, fostering collaboration, engagement, and talent development.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing significant P&L responsibilities, driving revenue growth, and delivering sustainable business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead executive-level negotiations with insurers, clients, and key stakeholders while balancing commercial and client objectives.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with C-suite executives, boards, and senior decision-makers.
- A client-focused approach with the ability to build trusted relationships, navigate complex business environments, and deliver strategic advice that drives value.
- Tier 1 ASIC Compliance (RG146) is essential. An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Law is highly regarded; an MBA or professional insurance qualifications (e.g., ANZIIF Fellow, ACII) is preferred.
