About the Role:
We are seeking a battle tested Senior Estimator ready to step into a National role to oversee our estimating operations, lead, inspire and coach the extended National Estimating team, to ensure the successful execution of monthly front-end SLA’s, monthly Sales KPI’s and critical performance indicators, including sales budgets, conversions rates, compliance and overall Estimator capacity.
This is a hands-on role, where you'll be the bridge between estimating and site supervision, ensuring robust quality systems are established, maintained, and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asist when a Catastrophe Event (CAT) occurs. This includes travelling and being on the ground assisting with setting up the front-end response to the CAT
- Assist the team nationally by monitoring and completing Scope Validations for key client portals
- Ensure weekly Estimating Job Pack meetings are occurring in all businesses
- The team. Build relationships and assist with the development of the team
- Ensure adequate capacity across the Country of Estimating resources
Assist with any rate reviews be aware of market trends and pricing schedules
- Manage QA Reviews, along with Estimator & Local Business Unit Manager for any projects over $1m
- Monitor quality and presentation of reports and quotations submitted
General education around identifying items and the type of reporting that is required
- Provide feedback and close the loop on any items or trends you are seeing that the teams require additional attention
What We're Looking For:
- Demonstrated experience in Estimating and/or Quality Auditing within the Insurance Construction industry
- Strong knowledge of Construction methodologies and terminology
- Qualifications in Building, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a trade background (highly regarded)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with AUS Standards relevant to construction
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to comprehend and read plans and drawings, including the stages involved in repair works
- Prior Large Loss insurance estimating experience
- Ability to build a scope of works and clearly articulate this in writing and have a general understanding of industry rates
- Ability to clearly communicate with clients
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Have competent computer skills including Microsoft suite
- Must have full working rights in Australia
