We are currently seeking a General Manager - Mining to join our leadership team at our Laverton operations on an 8/6 roster. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for providing executive leadership and accountability across Brightstar’s mining and processing operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of business objectives.
As the General Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead all mining and processing activities across our Laverton operations
- Own operational budgets, forecasts and business performance
- Develop succession plans and organisational capability across all operations
- Support LOM planning, resource growth and future expansion opportunities
- Act as the primary operational interface with the SLT and operations
- Manage key contractor, regulatory, community and commercial stakeholder relationships
About You
- Mining Eng, Metallurgy or related tertiary qualification
- Site Senior Executive certificate (Required)
- WA First Class Mine Manager's certificate (highly desirable)
- Current or previous General Manager, Resident Manager or Mining Manager experience
- Exposure to both underground and open pit gold mining operations
- Experience overseeing a processing plant of 1Mtpa+ scale
- Experience managing sites producing between 50,000oz and 200,000oz per annum
